Stephan Franz (MBA)

Stephan is the founder and owner of BÜRO_F. He has been carrying out market analyses in the field of renewable energies and smart energy systems for more than ten years. He has worked with BÜRO_F as a freelance consultant in Berlin and Santiago de Chile since 2014. Prior to founding BÜRO_F, Stephan worked as a consultant to the GIZ in the Chilean Ministry of Energy. Before that, he supported the development of new business models for the self-consumption of solar power in the strategy department of the photovoltaic manufacturer Q.CELLS. Other professional positions include working as a consultant at the German Energy Agency (dena) and as an analyst with the market researcher EuPD Research. Stephan studied Political Science and Economics at the University of Potsdam. In 2017 he also completed the MBA "Energy Management" at Technische Universität Berlin. Stephan is fluent in German, English and Spanish.

Mirco Sieg

Mirco is the owner of micropowr energy consulting, a close cooperation partner of BÜRO_F, and has been active in the renewable energy sector for more than seven years. As a freelance consultant and author in Düsseldorf, he is currently focusing on knowledge and technology transfer between Germany and South America. One of his focuses lies on the technical, economic and political challenges of using smart microgrids. Previously, he worked for several years as an editor for the photovoltaic journals "pv magazine" and "photovoltaik" of the pv magazine group GmbH and Solarpraxis AG in Berlin. As an employee at the Embassy of the Republic of Chile in Berlin, he supported scientific exchange between Germany and the Andean state, including in the area of renewable energies. Mirco holds a diploma in landscape ecology and is fluent in German, English and Spanish.
